Our Father in Heaven, We come before your Throne of Grace to thank You for sparing the life of this Secret Service bicycle officer.  As we lift this officer into Your Presence, may You hear our plea and may Your hands of mercy and grace settle upon him as he is being treated at a local hospital.  As the news reports indicate his injuries are not life-threatening, we still do not know the extent of his injuries.  Nonetheless, we lift this officer into Your Presence and ask for Your healing power to be upon him.  May You grant the doctor’s wisdom and insight to be able to effectively diagnose and then render the correct treatment to allow this officer to experience a full recovery.  May Your grace, peace, and mercy settle upon the heart and mind of this injured officer and may Your loving kindness and Presence sustain him with Your arms of love. May You especially touch the families of this injured officer as they rally around their loved one at this very challenging time.  May You grant the investigators wisdom and insight to properly gather all of the facts in this investigation.  May Your amazing grace and Presence especially be made ever so real to the men and women of the U.S. Secret Service as we know incidents like these can affect many co-workers.  May You use this near-death experience to speak to the hearts of any officer or agent and draw them unto Your Side.  May they sense a deep need for Your Presence in their lives as they protect America.  May Your amazing grace settle upon the entire segment of U.S. Secret Service officers and agents as they transition to a new command-in-chief.  May many be drawn to the love of Your Son.  May You raise up chaplains and other Godly officers to be available to pray with many agents and officers in order to point them to Your Son in whom there is forgiveness and everlasting life, in the name of Jesus Christ we Pray, Amen.
