Lord Jesus, for the fourth time today, we, again, come boldly before Your Throne of Grace to lift up this wounded Gladstone Police Officer into Your Healing Arms.  As the news reports are very limited other than the fact that he wounds are not life-threatening,  we ask You to give the doctors an extra measure of grace and wisdom as they diagnose and treat his wounds and bring about a full recovery.  And as the news reports the suspect was shot and killed, we ask You to give the investigators wisdom and insight to gather all of the facts surrounding this attempted murder on another one of Your Peacemakers.  Lord, we ask You to pour out Your grace upon every member of the Gladstone Police Department and countless surrounding allied agencies as they must continue their daily duties despite being targets. May law enforcement officers everywhere rely on Your words of encouragement to, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”  Lord, continue to be that Rock for every law enforcement officer in everything that they do.   May You be with the family of this wounded Gladstone officer as they are at the hospital with him right now.  May they intimately know Your peace and grace.  Lord, may You raise up leaders and others across America to be a voice of reason and love to stop these attacks upon Your servants, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
