“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him..” Colossians 3:17

This is the verse God gave me for my life verse. Colossians 3:17 reminds that everything I do and say should be done in the name of and to glorify the Lord Jesus and “give thanks to God the Father through Him..” Every word and action starts in my head and heart. What I think and dwell on moves 18 inches downward into my heart and eventually becomes the words I speak and the actions I commit. This is why praying for wisdom, clarity, knowledge and direction for life is so important. Combine that with the study of Gods Word and anything and everything we say and do will be God honoring.

I have a dear Christian friend named, Robert. He’s one of my former Lieutenant’s from Lawyer Enforcement. Robert is a “go-getter” and “Entrepreneur.” He’s extremely gifted with the understanding and application of technology. When he retired from Law Enforcement he started a business where he does “Mapping” with a drone. He uses the drone to photograph every inch of a businesses interior, exterior and surrounding area. He hit a lull and business slowed which means income dropped. He prayed and realized he hadn’t truly committed the business to God. So he went to pray, committed the business to God and asked to use the business for “Gods glory.” God showed Robert another program he could use and it became a valuable commodity that people loved and wanted.

When you seek, make and keep God first in your life, You will be able to commit anything and everything to Him for His glory. God will go before you and guide you in your home, family, ministry or business. You can lead your family to glorify Christ. You can sell products to glorify Christ. And can clean toilets to honor and glorify Christ..! Is this how you’re living your “Christian Life?” If not, I encourage you to start now. Pray for God to arrest and direct your thoughts, words and actions so that they please, honor and glorify Him. When you do, you will see Him move in new and exciting ways in and through you.
