"God Sees The Finished Work"

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns..” Philippians 1:6(NLT)
The late, Dr. Charles Stanley, wrote these words in one of his daily devotions: “One reason you and I don’t see ourselves as God sees us is that we’re looking at the “work in progress.” God sees us as we are. He sees us as He is making us. God sees the finished product and we are His masterpiece..” This work, our sanctification and transformation, is process that will continue until we die or are taken up in the rapture.
Paul reminds us in his letter to the Philippians about this work. It’s an “ongoing process.” When you drive by a construction site you’ll often see bright yellow signs with these words written in bold, black letters “WORK IN PROGRESS.” It reminds us that there are things out of place. Things that could hurt us. Things that require us to be on guard. I think every believer should wear a bright yellow shirt that says, “WORK IN PROGRESS!” as a reminder that we’re under construction and God is the Builder. God is molding, cutting, grinding and shaping us into “His Masterpiece” and it’s gonna get messy in the process. But God is faithful and will complete and perfect what He has started.
You’re a “work in progress” and so is every single person around you. Some people are humbly and obediently submitting themselves before Christ, so the “construction zone” of their life isn’t quite as messy as others. If you’re like me, it looks like God is using cases of “Dynamite” to blow up and dislodge all the sinful stone of my heart that needs to be removed..!! We should be so grateful that God loves us too much to leave us the way He found us and we must give grace to others remembering that we are all “under construction” becoming a “vessel of honor” in the Masters hand.
