Law enforcement officers will handle many calls involving civil, business or domestic disputes oftentimes, solving the problem with only a temporary mutual compromise.  But did you know the bible talks about the results of a believer compromising their walk with Christ?  Check this out:

  • Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins. James 4:17(NIV)
  • If the godly compromise with the wicked, it is like polluting a fountain or muddying a spring. Proverbs 25:26(NLT)
  • Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14(NIV)
  • Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 1 John 3:4(NIV)
  • They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths. Psalms 119:3(NLT)
  • Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong. Hebrews 5:14(NLT)
  • They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that! 2 Timothy 3:5(NLT)
  • So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. Galatians 5:16(NIV)
  • See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. Deuteronomy 30:15-16(NIV)
  • Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” Genesis 3:1(NIV)
  • But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. James 1:22(NLT)
  • Stay away from every kind of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5:22(NLT)
  • And now, dear brothers and sisters, we give you this command in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ: Stay away from all believers who live idle lives and don’t follow the tradition they received from us. 2 Thessalonians 3:6(NLT)
  • Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. Psalms 119:11(NKJV)
  • Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; Psalms 1:1(NKJV)
  • Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:7-8(NKJV)
  • When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. Mark 8:34(NKJV)
  • So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming. You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Colossians 3:5-8(NLT)
  • I say this because many deceivers have gone out into the world. They deny that Jesus Christ came in a real body. Such a person is a deceiver and an antichrist. Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward. Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son. 2 John 1:7-9(NLT)
  • “If you love me, obey my commandments. John 14:15(NLT)
  • But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God… John 1:12 (ESV)
