Law enforcement officers will handle many calls involving civil, business or domestic disputes oftentimes, solving the problem with only a temporary mutual compromise.  But did you know the bible talks about the results of a believer compromising their walk with Christ?  Check this out:

Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins. James 4:17(NIV)

If the godly compromise with the wicked, it is like polluting a fountain or muddying a spring. Proverbs 25:26(NLT)

They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths. Psalms 119:3(NLT)

Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong. Hebrews 5:14(NLT)

They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that! 2 Timothy 3:5(NLT)

So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. Galatians 5:16(NIV)

See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. I say this because many deceivers have gone out into the world. They deny that Jesus Christ came in a real body. Such a person is a deceiver and an antichrist. Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked so hard to achieve. Be diligent so that you receive your full reward. Anyone who wanders away from this teaching has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son. 2 John 1:7-9(NLT)
