Cop's Trust

In the midst of some life/death situations, a law enforcement officer may have to place their complete trust in a co-worker to survive. That said, how much more should we place our total trust in the Living God?  Check out what the Bible says:

  • Fear of man is a dangerous trap, but to trust in God means safety. Proverbs 29:25 (TLB)
  • “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”  Hebrews 13:5, Deuteronomy 31:6, Joshua 1:5 (NKJV)
  • Be still, and know that I am God…   Psalms 46:10a (NKJV)
  • But you, O LORD, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. Psalms 3:3(NLT)
  • Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6(NLT)
  • And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.  Romans 8:28-29(NKJV)
  • God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear… Psalms 46:1-2(NKJV)
  • The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies. Psalms 18:2-3(NKJV)
  • But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?  What can mere mortals do to me? Psalms 56:3-4(NLT)
  • But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. Psalms 13:5(NLT)
  • For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11(NLT)
  • Many blessings are given to those who trust the Lord and have no confidence in those who are proud or who trust in idols. Psalms 40:4(TLB)
  • But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in Your hand;    Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me. Psalms 31:14-15(NKJV)
  • “Do not defile yourselves by consulting mediums and wizards, for I am Jehovah your God. Leviticus 19:31(TLB)
  • But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31(NKJV)
  • Trust in the LORD always, for the LORD GOD is the eternal Rock. Isaiah 26:4(NLT)
  • Trust in the LORD and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires. Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you. Psalms 37:3-5(NLT)
  • It is better to trust the Lord than to put confidence in men. Psalms 118:8(TLB)
  • Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.  Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:7-8(NKJV)
  • He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife, But he who trusts in the Lord will be prospered. Proverbs 28:25(NKJV)
  • I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13(NKJV)
  • Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. (Psalms 55:22 NLT)
  • Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalms 119:105(NKJV)
  • Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. Psalms 91:1-2(NLT)
  • The LORD says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.” Psalms 91:14-16(NLT)
