When responding to an emergency call in an area which you are not familiar, what method do you use to get directions?  Do you use a map book, G.P.S., SmartPhone or perhaps a built-in map in your unit’s computer?  Or what about everyday life?  What do you use to help provide you direction?  Did you know the bible has much to say on this topic? Check this out:

  • A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9(NKJV)
  • The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand. Psalms 37:23-24(NKJV)
  • “O Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I can’t speak for you! I’m too young!” “Don’t say that,” the LORD replied, “for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and take care of you. I, the LORD, have spoken!” Jeremiah 1:6-8(NLT)
  • To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue. All a man’s ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD. Proverbs 16:1-2(NIV)
  • I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Psalms 32:8(NIV)
  • Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
    In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6(NKJV)
  • Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4(NIV)
  • Teach us to make the most of our time, so that we may grow in wisdom. Psalms 90:12(NLT)
