As a LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, have you ever been involved in a conversation that amounted to gossip,
rumors, innuendo or creating dissension? Take a look at what the bible says:

  1) Fire goes out without wood, and quarrels disappear when gossip stops. (Proverbs 26:20 NLT)
  2) Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. (Ephesians 4:29 NIV)
  3) As surely as a north wind brings rain, so a gossiping tongue causes anger! (Proverbs 25:23 NLT)
  4) A gossip goes around telling secrets, but those who are trustworthy can keep a confidence. (Proverbs 11:13 NLT)
  5) A fools mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. (Proverbs 18:7 NLT)
