Every law enforcement officer will be exposed to prolific amounts of profanity especially while working.  For instance, after giving a citizen or a suspect a command, have you ever been told, “Go to hell”?   Speaking of that, have you ever wondered what the Bible REALLY says about hell?  Is it a fable or does it really exist?  Check this out:

  • Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:14-15 NKJV)
  • But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Revelation 21:8 NKJV)
  • Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28(NIV)
  • Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life. Matthew 25:46(NIV)
  • For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23(NLT)
  • There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you who judge your neighbor? James 4:12(NASB)
  • “You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? Matthew 23:33(NIV)
  • For God did not spare even the angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness where they are being held until the day of judgment.  2 Peter 2:4(NLT)
  • If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out. If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, where “‘their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched...’ Mark 9:43-48(NIV)
  • But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. Revelation 19:20(NIV)
  • And the smoke of their torment rises forever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name.” Revelation 14:11(NIV)
  • These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 2 Thessalonians 1:9(NKJV)
  • For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:26(NKJV)
  • For the living know that they will die; But the dead know nothing, And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten. Ecclesiastes 9:5(NKJV)
  • For You will not leave my soul in Hades, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’ Acts 2:27-28(NKJV)
  • Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. John 5:28-29(NKJV)
  • For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16(NKJV)
  • The Lord preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy. Psalms 145:20(NKJV)
  • In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.  Luke 16:23(NIV).
