Lord Jesus, we bring this injured deputy before your awesome Throne of Grace. We are so thankful for your mercy and for saving his life. May you be with him, his family and co-workers and provide comfort. May you especially grant them each a peace in their hearts that passes all understanding. Lord, we also thank you for YOUR protection upon the other deputies sparing them from injury. May you be with the entire Sheriff's Department and use this as an opportunity to bring all members not only closer to each other and but to a deeper knowledge of your saving grace, love, peace and mercy. Lord, we know that the job of a law enforcement officer is ordained and blessed by you as outlined in Romans 13:4. May your continual hand of protection be upon all members of law enforcement as they seek to be an extension of your justice, righteousness and mercy. May the name of Jesus be glorified and may many law enforcement officers be drawn to YOU through this life altering incident today. May your peace reign supreme, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
