O’ God,  We come in earnest before You Lord to lift up the small army of law enforcement officers who are negotiating with the suspect who tried to take the life of one of Your Little Elm peacemakers.  We, first, ask for Your protecting hand to be upon every officer and deputy ask You to keep them from all harm and danger so they can go home to their families.  We now come before Your Throne of Grace to lift up Detective Jerry Walker who was shot in the neck and is apparently in serious to critical condition.  As we know he is currently being treated at a hospital, we ask for Your healing power to continue to be upon this officer and ask You to give all of the medical staff supernatural wisdom and insight in order to effectively treat and heal this officers injuries. May Your mercies and Your Presence especially descend upon the family of Detective Walker as they are at the hospital supporting him at this very emotional time. May Your grace, peace, love, presence and comfort be made real to them. May You raise up Godly officers, friends and chaplains to surround his family and the entire law enforcement community.  May Your mercy, grace, wisdom and comfort also touch the many law enforcement agencies involved in the standoff with the suspect.  May Your Holy Spirit grant supernatural wisdom and insight to all of the investigators and bring this to a peaceful close.  As this suspect knows he is surrounded, may Your Holy Spirit to cause him to quickly surrender.  And if he chooses not to surrender, we ask You to confuse his mind, heart and spirit and cause him to not be able to sleep or rest.  And if he tries to use his weapon again upon one of Your peacemakers or even a citizen, may You cause the weapon to malfunction, break or somehow be removed from their presence.  May Your amazing grace and peace touch the hearts of the entire staff of the Little Elm Police and Denton County Sheriff’s Department as they support their injured friend and colleague.  May Your Holy Spirit speak to the hearts of the suspect and draw him unto the love of Your Son in whom there is forgiveness and peace.  May many law enforcement officers who do not know Your love also be drawn ever so close to Your side.  May Your Presence be supernaturally or naturally revealed to the suspect and every peace officer present at that scene.  May they know You will always be their Refuge and Strength, an ever present help in time of trouble.  Grant protection to all involved and may many come to know Your Son in a real and personal way for Your Word says that now is the day of salvation, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
