Our Merciful Lord, we come into Your Presence to seek the touch of the Master’s Hand to be upon Officer Jose Martinez who was critically injured in an on-duty collision.  As he is being treated at a trauma center, we ask You to continue to raise up the correct medical specialists in order to effectively diagnose his injuries and apply the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery.  May Your peace and grace also extend to the many fire-fighters, paramedics, first responders and other CHP co-workers who were involved in this situation and draw them ever so close to your side.  May Your peace that passes understanding also descend upon his family and may You use this time to draw them ever so close to You and each other in the bonds of love.  May Your Amazing Grace touch his life and draw him into the presence of Your Son where he may find peace and mercies as he is being treated for his many injuries.  May You grant the investigators wisdom and insight to effectively gather the facts surrounding this collision.  As we know this incident has likely affected the many friends and co-workers at his local CHP office in Northern California, may the love of Your Son be made real in Ofc. Martinez’ life and in the life of his co-workers.  May You raise up Godly officers, chaplains and others to draw him and many others unto the love of Your Son where they may come to know the eternal life provided by Your Son.  May Your Word bring comfort to the souls of many in need as follows: “Come near to God and he will come near to you.” And “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you”.  May Your Holy Spirit touch the hearts of many, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
