Our Gracious Lord, Once again, we find ourselves coming before Your Throne of Grace to seek Your mercies and peace as the Carroll County Sheriff’s Dept mourns the death of one their colleagues from another on-duty collision.  Lord, as the law enforcement community across the U.S. has been hit hard with so many deaths of law enforcement officers in the prime of their careers, it is Your divine intervention and mercy we seek and need to sustain us.  Lord, may these untimely losses cause every law enforcement officer to look inward at their hearts and souls in order to prepare for eternity as You’ve ordained.  We therefore lift up the men and women of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Dept. and law enforcement community abroad and place them in Your loving arms.  May it be Your amazing grace that they may come to recognize that is carrying them through this difficult time.  May Your peace and mercies especially touch the family members and close friends of Deputy Bartlett. as they come to grips with this tragic loss. May your also be with the family of the others involved in this collision, too.   Lord, we ask You to use these recent deaths to remind every law enforcement officer to use caution, discretion and wisdom in everything they do on and off the job.  And as the Carroll County Sheriff’s Dept. must now begin to make preparations to say farewell to Deputy Bartlett., may You raise up Godly officers, chaplains and others to be a solid rock of hope for those grieving.  Most importantly, may every officer look inward at their hearts and may those who are uncertain about their future be drawn into the side of Your Son in whom there is everlasting life. May You use this time of loss as a time to allow many to come receive You into their hearts as their Savior and Lord.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
