Our Merciful Lord, unto You, Lord, we give You thanks and praise in sparing the lives of Officer Kenneth Grubbs and Officer William Keuper. Most importantly Lord, we are so thankful for the countless prayers that are continually lifted before Your throne of Grace for peacemakers across America. We, therefore, come boldly before into Your Presence to lift up Officer Grubbs into Your healing arms. As he has already been treated at a local hospital and released just after two days--we know this is nothing short of miraculous. As we know the families of both officers were in deep dismay for a period of time, we ask You to pour out Your Amazing Grace and love as they can rest in Your peace that passes all understanding for carrying them through some very difficult days of uncertainty. May Officer Keuper be given an extra measure of Grace as he had to witness his partner get shot and then had to use deadly force to save their lives. May You especially touch the men and women of the Cincinnati Police Department and may You use this near-tragedy to draw them all closer to each other and especially, You, Lord. As we know incidents like this can cause short-term and/or long-term emotional trauma, may Your Holy Spirit settle upon their hearts and draw them ever so close to the Cross of Christ. May every officer take these words to heart as follows, “Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared.” Proverbs 3:25-26. So, Lord, draw Officer Grubbs and Keuper ever so close to Your Son and know Your Love, grace, peace, comfort and mercy. May Your Holy Spirit fill them with Your Presence and if they do not know Your Son personally, may they be given an opportunity to receive Jesus as their Savior and Lord and receive everlasting Life. May You use this near-death encounter to draw many unto Your side, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
