Our Merciful Lord, our hearts pour out to the men and women of the London Metropolitan Police Department as they investigate this terrorist attack at their Parliament in which multiple persons were hurt including the death of one of their own colleagues, a peacemaker and your servant—a London Metropolitan Police Officer.  O’ Lord, we come boldly before our Throne of Grace to lift up the entire London law enforcement community into Your Arms of love.  Grant them supernatural wisdom and insight as they begin to piece together the facts and gather evidence in this heinous and senseless attack.  May your sustaining grace, peace and mercy touch the hearts and souls of every member of law enforcement.  May your love, grace, peace, mercy, comfort and Your Presence especially be with the family of this fallen officer and may it be Your Holy Spirit and Your presence that with hold them up as they endure this great loss. May You continue to grant the entire medical community and emergency services workers with Your strength and endurance as they attend to the many injured and wounded citizens. May the love and Jesus be made real to each of them.  May every officer, family member and friend of the officers who were present at that horrendous scene, intimately know that no matter what, Your Word says, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you” to those who love you and have received you into their hearts.  May many officers, citizens and family members know that Your Word tells us that You do not want anyone to perish but for all to come to repentance in You alone.  As we know this attack can affect many mentally, emotionally and spiritually, may many be drawn to the Cross of Christ where there is endless mercy and grace.  May your comfort settle upon every member of the London Metropolitan Police Department and each of their families and hold them every so close to Your heart.  May You raise up chaplains and other Christian officers to bring comfort to all.  As the members of the London Metropolitan Police Department will now have to prepare to say a final farewell to their fallen friend and co-worker, may the power of your Holy Spirit settle upon each officer and grant them strength in their hearts, minds and spirits.  May they know your Word says, “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.”  So, Lord, may You bring about good through this tragic loss of life; this we ask in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
