Our Merciful Lord, we come boldly before Your Throne of Grace to lift up the men and women of the Paris Police Department as they cope with the loss of one of their officers and wounding of a second.  As the tension is obviously high in Paris, we ask you to grant the men and women of the Paris Police Department supernatural wisdom and insight to be able to investigate this heinous attack upon Your peacemaker-servants. May You surround every member of law enforcement in Paris and throughout France with Your Arms of Love and protect them from all harm, danger and evil.  And if there are any others who may be planning on attacking more Paris peacemakers or citizens, may Your Holy Spirit intervene and thwart any efforts to harm anyone.  May You raise up witnesses and citizens to report and/or stop any impending attacks upon any law enforcement officers or upon any other citizens.  May Your love, grace, peace, mercy and comfort be with the families of the fallen and wounded officers.  May they know Your word says, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” May You also touch the medical staff who are treating the second officer and grant them wisdom and insight to treat and restore this officer to full health. So Lord, surround the men and women of the Paris Police Department with Your Protecting Arms as they mourn the loss of one of their colleagues.  May they all be drawn unto the love of Your Son and may every law enforcement officer know that whosoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.  O’ Lord, place a thirst for Your Son in the hearts of every law enforcement officer and every citizen in France.  May they intimately know Your word says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”   May Your amazing grace and love be poured out upon those grieving.  As the news reports indicate the suspect in this shooting has also lost his life, may Your Holy Spirit touch the hearts of many whose hearts are empty and are searching for truth for You told us that You are the Way, the Truth and the Life, this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
