Our Father in Heaven, hear our prayer, O’ Lord, as we lift up the men and women of the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Department in this tragic death of their friend and co-worker, Deputy Justin L. Beard At times like this Lord, it is only YOU to whom we can turn for comfort.  May Your unfailing love sweetly settle upon Deputy Beard’s family as they are mourning this tragic loss.  Lord, in the midst of this most difficult time for the family, friends and co-workers of Deputy Beard, may Your unending grace be made evident in their hearts and minds.  Lord, we ask for Your Arms of Love and Mercy to tightly hold Deputy Beard’s family ever so close to Your side.  Even in the middle of this tragedy, may You bring about good to everyone through Your Amazing Grace, goodness and mercy.  May You grant the investigators wisdom and insight to piece together all of the details in this collision.  As the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Department must now begin the difficult process to prepare to say a final farewell to Deputy Beard, may You use this time to draw many co-workers and others ever so close to the Cross of Christ.  May en extra portion of Your grace touch Deputy Beard’s wife and three children as they cope with this tragic loss of a husband and father.  May Your Holy Spirit, even now, begin to touch the hearts of so many.  May You raise up chaplains and other Christian law enforcement officers to minister to those hurting in their hearts.  And so Lord, may the God of Hope fill every officer, friend and family member with all Joy and Peace because of the everlasting gift of eternal life found only in Your Son.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
