O’ Lord, we come before Your Throne of Grace to intercede for a Buffalo Police Officer who was wounded during a traffic stop.  As the news reports indicate the officer is expected to survive, we come to you to plead for Your Mercy and supernatural touch upon his body and ask you to heal him.  May You raise up the correct medical specialists needed to be able to effectively apply the correct treatment to allow this officer a full recovery.  May Your grace, mercy, Your Presence and comfort of Your Holy Spirit sweetly settle upon this wounded peacemaker and hold him ever so closely in Your Arms of Love.  May Your peace and Presence be especially made known to the men and women of the Buffalo Police Department as they come together to support each other at this near loss of one of their colleagues.  May Your amazing grace especially be made known to this wounded officer’s family as they cope with the near loss of their loved one.  May You also give the investigators wisdom and supernatural knowledge to investigate this incident in which the suspect lost his life.  As this wounded officer and his partner come to grips with this near-death encounter, may Your word come alive in their hearts that You will be always be a Shield around them at all times.  As we know traumatic incidents like these can cause emotional trauma, we also know Your Peace that passes all understanding is much stronger. So, Lord, may Your peace reign supreme in anyone’s heart who may be emotionally struggling. Strengthen the character and hearts of every law enforcement officer and may they know they can cast all of their cares upon You for You care for them.  May they know your word says, “For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’”  Protect them all from harm and danger.  May many officers be drawn to You for mercy and grace in their time of need, in the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
