Our Father In Heaven, We are so thankful for Your Hands of mercy and protection to have been upon these three law enforcement officers who were injured/wounded in the line of duty in different parts of the country. We are so thankful to You, Lord, in saving their lives and come with hearts of gratitude before Your Throne of Grace. Lord, as we lift up these three deputies into Your Arms of Love, we ask You to touch their heart, mind and spirits as they are recovering from their physical injuries/wound. As one is suffering from a gunshot wound, we ask You to pour out your wisdom upon the medical staff to be able to swiftly treat this deputy and apply the correct treatment. O’ Lord, we know that whenever a peace officer must use deadly force and take the life of another, they experience an abundance of emotional trauma that affects individuals in many different ways. Therefore, we ask You to pour out Your grace, peace, mercy, comfort, love and presence to each of these peacemakers. May you grant the investigators wisdom and insight as they piece together all of the details of these incident. May Your mercies and grace extend to the men and women of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Department and Bridgeport Police Department as we know incidents like these can affect many co-workers—both civilian and sworn. We also ask for Your grace, comfort and presence to touch the families/spouses of these law enforcement officers who are often emotionally traumatized at the near loss of their loved one. May Your Holy Spirit settle upon the heart, mind and spirit of both of these wounded/injured servants and may they sense Your sweet Presence carrying them through this difficult and emotional time. Lord, we ask You to raise up chaplains and other Godly officers to share Your love and peace with these peacemakers, their families and any other deputy/officer who may be struggling with this incident. May You remind those struggling to seek your Grace and to cast their cares on You for You will sustain them. May they know Your Word says, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” May You draw them unto Your side to know Your intimate love and peace found only in Your Son, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
