O’ God, we need Your divine intervention for the men and women of law enforcement across American who operate law enforcement vehicles for too many have been injured or lost their lives in these recent days.  So, again Lord, we seek Your grace and mercy to descend upon the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department who are in deep mourning at the tragic loss of Deputy Jason Garner and Community Service Officer Raschel Johnson from an on-duty collision.  As we know this pain is ever so great, may Your word as follows bring peace to the hearts of many in need, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”  We ask You to pour out Your grace, love, peace mercy and Presence upon the entire Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department and draw them all so very close to Your side.  We especially lift up the families of Deputy Jason Garner and Community Service Officer Raschel Johnson before Your Throne of Grace to seek your Mercy and peace to settle upon their hearts as they are in shock and mourning ever so greatly.  May You grant the investigators wisdom to determine the cause of the collision and may future collisions be prevented.  Lord, as the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department must now begin the process to say farewell to their fallen comrades, may You use this time to draw many ever so close to Your Side.  May You use their final services to speak to the hearts of those in need and may Your Holy Spirit draw many unto Your Son, in who there is everlasting life, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
