Our Father in Heaven, Because You alone are our Rock and our Fortress and our ever-present help in times of trouble, we earnestly come before your Throne of Grace to lift up the Broadwater County Sheriff's Department as they are in deep mourning in the loss of a dear friend and co-worker. Lord, may your sustaining grace, peace and mercy touch the hearts and souls of every deputy and allied member of law enforcement who were involved in this incident. May your love and grace especially be with his family as they endure this great loss. May they sense Your love, grace, peace, mercy and comfort carrying them through his tragic loss of their loved one. May You grant the investigators wisdom and insight to piece together the facts of this tragic incident. As the members of the Broadwater County Sheriff's Department will now have to prepare to say a final farewell to their friend and co-worker, may the power of your Holy Spirit settle upon each member of law enforcement and their family and grant them strength in their hearts, minds and spirits. May the love and Jesus be made real to each of them. May every depuity, family member and friend intimately know that no matter what, you will never leave them nor forsake those who love you and have received you into their hearts. May they know that You do not want anyone to perish but to come to repentance in You alone. As many will be attending an upcoming farewell service for their fallen comrade, may many be drawn to the Cross of Christ where there is mercy and grace. May your comfort settle upon every law enforcement officer and family member. Hold them so very close to your heart. May You raise up chaplains and other Christian officers to bring comfort to all; this we ask in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
