Our Father in Heaven,  In this past month Lord, the law enforcement community across America has seen multiple attacks on Your servants of righteousness.  And it is You Lord, that the law enforcement officers across America comes to with boldness and humility to seek Your mercies and grace to descend upon every one of Your peacemakers.  O Lord, we are so ever grateful to You for sparing the life of another one of Your servants at the Denver Police Department.  We are so thankful that You spared his life.  As we know this officer is recovering in the hospital with a leg wound, may Your presence be made known to his heart and mind and may You draw him ever so close to Your side.  May You also be with the family of this officer who nearly experienced the loss of a loved one and hold them tightly in Your Mighty Arms.  May Your grace touch the many other law enforcement officers who were present when this incident occurred and may each sense the presence of Your grace and peace in their hearts.  May You give the investigators wisdom and insight in order to gather all the facts to determine the circumstances as to how this incident occurred.  May Your mercies additionally settle upon the wounded suspects and may You reveal Your love to him and give him an opportunity to receive You as Savior and Lord.  May You use this life-threatening incident to speak to the hearts of every law enforcement officer who was at that scene and cause them to look inwardly at their hearts and souls.  If any officer does not know you or if any officer is in a backslidden state, may they hear the sweet voice of Your Holy Spirit calling them telling them that now is the day of salvation.  May You raise up chaplains and other Godly law enforcement officers to be a light to each of them and point them to the love of Your Son in whom there is everlasting life. May they know Your peace for You said, Peace I leave you, my peace I give you.” May Your love reign supreme in their hearts, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
