Our Gracious Lord, We come before your wonderful Throne of Grace to lift up your wounded servants with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and are so grateful that their lives were spared.  May your grace, peace and mercies settle upon the hearts and minds of these deputies and may You sustain their spirits with your grace and love.  May they be drawn close to your heart where there is endless peace.  We especially want to lift up the family members of these deputies and ask for your grace to hold them in Your arms.  Grant them an extra portion of grace to be able to support their loved ones through this emotional time. May your peace that passes all understanding settle upon every member of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and the allied law enforcement and medical agencies who assisted in the investigation and treatment of these deputies.  Although many may not have been directly involved in the incident, we know other deputies, officers, family members and medical personnel can be affected mentally and emotionally in their spirit just as much as those who were wounded.  May you keep them mind and spirit strong in Your grace.  Lastly Lord, may every member of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department be drawn ever so close to your heart and may each know how much you love them.  If there are any who do now know Your love, may they be drawn to You and given an opportunity to receive you into their hearts as their Savior and Lord.  May every law enforcement officer know eternal life is in You alone.  This we ask in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
