Our God of Mercy, We bring unto your Throne of Grace these three Laredo Police Officers who were wounded while performing their jobs.  Thank you Lord, for sparing their lives.  Your word says that You are close to those who call upon Your name, and so Lord, we pray for these wounded officers and ask for Your grace, peace, mercy and comfort to settle upon them as they faced this sudden deadly encounter.  May your grace continue to be upon their minds, bodies and hearts as they are being treated for their wounds.  Grant the doctor’s wisdom to effectively treat and restore them to complete fullness.   We especially lift up one of these officers who is said to be in critical condition. O’ Lord, spare his life.  Even now,may Your Holy Spirit touch this officer and bring about Your healing power.  May your mercy also extend to all of the first responders who treated these wounded officers. May your peace and comfort settle upon their families of these officers as they are at the hospital rallying around their loved ones.  May you also be with the men and women of the Laredo Police Department and other allied law enforcement agencies who were at this scene.  May your grace and peace settle upon their hearts and draw them close to Your side.  May your peace, comfort and grace also settle upon your wounded servants at the scene who were forced to use deadly force on this suspect.   May your arms of love surround them and affirm in their hearts that the job they did was established by You.  May your peace also be with the family of this suspect and may they know your grace.  Lastly Lord, we thank you that You are always there for Your children to be their rock, shield, strength, fortress and stronghold.  And if there are any officers at this incident struggling with an emptiness in their heart, may Your Holy Spirit touch their hearts and minds and draw them to Your Son in whom there may know and experience eternal life.   May Your name be eternally glorified, this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
