O’ God, we come into Your Presence to first thank You, Lord, for sparing the lives of agents Krystal Griner and David Bailey and for U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise. As the news reports Rep. Scalise is in critical condition, we do not know the extent of the wounds on these two officers. Nonetheless, Lord, we seek Your Amazing Grace, peace, comfort and healing power to be upon each of Your wounded peacemakers. May You grant all of the medical doctors with supernatural wisdom to continue to touch them with Your Healing hands and restore them to full health. As these agents had to use deadly force in which the suspect lost his life, we ask You to touch their hearts, minds and spirits as they replay this deadly scenario over and over in their minds. We thank you that these federal officers used their training and experience to say countless lives. We also lift up the other injured/wounded persons and seek Your grace and healing touch upon them, too. In the coming days, we know that these agents and many others may experience a variety of emotions and therefore seek Your Grace to sweetly settle upon their minds and spirits as they come to grips in the near death encounter. May Your Words as follows bring encouragement to those in need: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior…” We want to lift up the men and women of the U.S. Capitol Police, Alexandria Police, the countless paramedics, fire-fighters and medical personnel, and the many other allied law enforcement agencies who responded to that initial scene. May You pour out Your Love, grace, peace, grace, love and mercy upon them. We are thankful the suspect was contained and ask Yout o fill the investigators with wisdom to piece together all of the facts of this heinous crime. May You also touch the family members of these law enforcement officers and comfort them through this difficult time. May many know Your Word says to come to me all who are weary and heavy burdened and I will give you rest, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
