Praying for Flint (MI) Airport Police Lt. Jeff Neville stabbed in the neck

Our Gracious Lord, today, when Lt. Jeff Neville  went to work, he nor his family and co-workers had any idea of the life changing trauma that would forever change his life.  We therefore come boldly into Your Presence Lord to lift up Lt. Jeff Neville who was stabbed in the neck in an apparent act of terrorism.  We are so thankful he was able to protect and defend himself thus allowing the suspect to be taken into custody.  As the news reports he has already undergone surgery and is in stable condition at a hospital, we ask you to continue to grant the medical professionals supernatural wisdom to apply the correct remedy and allow for a complete recovery.  May Your amazing grace, mercy, peace and comfort to be with this injured officer right now.  May he sense Your presence in his heart, spirit and mind.   And as his family is at his side supporting him through this difficult time, may Your grace be made ever so real to them.  We also ask for Your Presence and grace to touch the men and women of the Flint Airport Police Department as they cope with the near loss of a dear friend and co-worker.  As we know incidents like these can cause deep, emotional scars, we know You are an amazing God, full of grace and rich in mercy.  May Your hands of love be upon Lt. Neville  as he copes with the after effects of this near death encounter.  May You prevent him or any co-workers from having to endure any short term or long term emotional trauma.  May You grant the investigators wisdom and insight to be able to gather all of the facts surrounding this terrorist incident.  In the coming weeks and months, may your Holy Spirit be upon every law enforcement officer wherever they go and prevent them from being a victim of a similar terrorist act.  May every law enforcement officer come to intimately know your Word says, “The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.”  May many Flint Airport officers and family members be drawn to Your peace that passes all understanding which can be found in Your Son.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
