Our Gracious Lord, We come with broken hearts as we lift up the men and women of the Abilene Police Department in the on-duty traffic fatality of Det. Elise Ybarra and for injured and injured detectives Chris Milliorn and Robert Collins. O’ Lord, we know that whenever a co-worker is lost, there is a deep emptiness in the hearts of many that only Your love, grace and mercies can touch and heal. So Lord, we come before Your Awesome throne of Grace to seek Your mercies and comfort for the Abilene Police Department as they mourn this traffic loss of Det. Ybarra. May your presence carry them through this very emotional time. As we know the family of Det. Ybarra is hurting ever so greatly, we ask You to pour out Your love, grace, peace, mercy and everlasting love upon them to carry them through this time of mourning. We also want ot bring before Your Throne of Grace detectives Chris Milliorn and Robert Collins who were both injured in that collision. May You grant the doctors with wisdom and insight to effectively treat their injuries and allow them to return to full health. May You grant the investigators insight and wisdom to piece together the details of this accident. As this horrific collision has affected so many families, we ask for supernatural grace to descend upon them and uphold them with Your Mighty Arms of love. Lord, as the Abilene Police Department must now begin the task of preparing a final farewell to for Det. Ybarra, may You use this time of grief as an opportunity to point many to the Cross. May You cause many to examine their hearts and souls and may many be drawn to the love of Your Son where they may know that God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. May You raise up Godly officers, Chaplains and others to be a Light to others at this dark time. May many come to know Your comfort and receive Your Son as their savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
