Praying for two wounded St. Louis (MO) Police Officers

Our Merciful Lord, Because Your word says, “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days…”, we are so thankful that You have assigned peacemakers to stand in the gap for their communities.  And, once again, we come into Your Presence to lift up two more wounded St. Louis Police Officers who were wounded in the line of duty today.  As the wounds are not life-threatening, we ask You to pour out Your grace and mercy upon these officers as they are being treated at a local hospital.  May You provide the correct medical specialists to diagnose their wounds and then apply the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery.  As a manhunt is still underway for one of the suspects, may You grant the investigators wisdom and insight to be able to locate and take him into custody.  If the suspect or anyone else might be try to harm any other officers, may you cause any weapon to misfire or malfunction.  May You cause this suspect to surrender or may You provide citizens to report his location.  As the families of both officers are at the hospital with their loved ones, we know the wide range of emotions they are experiencing and seek Your Amazing Grace to gently carry them through this near loss of their loved one.  As we know countless other families in St. Louis are also concerned for their loved ones, we ask You to surround every officer with Your Presence and Your angels to keep them safe from all harm.  We are so thankful for the many other paramedics and first responders who treated these officers and ask You to pour Your mercy and love upon them.  O’ Lord, as there have now been seven law enforcement officers shot in just the past few days across the U.S.,  we ask You to fill every law enforcement officer in America with Your wisdom to be able to do their jobs safely and effectively as they protect their community and country.  May law enforcement officers across America always remember their training for it truly comes from God as follows, “Praise be to the LORD my Rock,      who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. Ps. 144:1-2. May many officers be drawn unto the love of Your Son, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
