Our Father in Heaven,  We come into Your presence, Lord, to lift Trooper Houston E. Lewis injured in an on-duty collision.  As the news reports indicate he was in critical condition, we ask You to be with the medical professionals and ask You to grant them wisdom and insight in order to effectively diagnose, treat and heal his injuries and restore him to full health. May You continue to have the correct medical specialists available to treat this multiple injuries.  As Trooper Lewis is likely sedated and in great pain, we ask you to pour out Your Holy Spirit upon his and spirit and draw him ever so close to your Side.  May He supernaturally know You are with him for Your Word says You will never leave us nor forsake us.  As we know incidents like this can cause stress not only upon the injured deputy, but upon his co-workers and especially his family, we therefore ask for Your grace, peace, comfort, and mercy to be upon all of them and use this incident to draw many ever so close to Your side.  May Your grace be poured out upon the many co-workers with the Kentucky State Police as they rally around their injured comrade.  May You sustain them with Your love, grace, peace, mercy, comfort and presence.  And if Trooper Lewis does not know You personally, may he come to know that You will always be his Hope and Confidence, a Strong Refuge and the Lifter of his soul.  May Your mercy, grace and peace touch the hearts of the Kentucky State Police  and grant the investigators insight to piece together the details of this on-duty collision. May You, Lord, use this collision to bring many officers and family members not only close to You, but also close to each other.  If Trooper Lewis does not know You, may You speak to his heart and reveal to him the love of Jesus Christ.  May many be drawn unto Your side and be given an opportunity to personally know Your Son and receive him as Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
