Our Father in Heaven, the men and women of law enforcement need Your Presence and grace evermore O’ Lord, as this is the 6th law enforcement shot in just two days.  Nonetheless Lord, we acknowledge that you are our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. And for that reason Lord, we thank YOU for sparing the life of not only this wounded deputy who was apparently shot in the leg.  As he is being treated at a hospital, we ask that you would continue to grant the medical staff wisdom to effectively treat his injuries and restore him to full health.  May your peace, grace and mercy settle upon the family of this injured deputy and may You uphold them with Your Mighty Arms of Love. We also lift up the entire Ellis County Sheriff’s Department and Oklahoma Highway Patrol’s tactical team as they are attempting to take the suspect into custody.  May You grant this team wisdom and supernatural protection as they confront anyone else who may be armed.  May your peace that passes all understanding settle upon them and sustain them with Your Presence and grace.  As we know this has affected many in the local law enforcement community in Ellis County, We know You, Lord, are the One who heals the brokenhearted and binds the wounds and therefore also ask for Your merciful touch to be upon the hearts and minds of the officers, their families and the Ellis County Sheriff’s Department.  May your Holy Spirit grant them strength and grace as they come together in the bonds of love supporting each other at this emotional time.  May you also be with all of the first responders, paramedics and medical personnel who were involved in treating this injured law enforcement officers.  May your Holy Spirit settle upon their mind and spirit and grant them peace in their hearts.  May you continue to touch the mind and spirit of every law enforcement officer involved in that incident and investigation and uphold them with your Holy Spirit.  May You be a Fortress and Protector to every law enforcement officer and bring this stand-off to a peaceful resolution.  May You, Lord, bring hope and encouragement to every law enforcement officer and family member.  May many be drawn to the Love of Jesus Christ where there is endless mercy and grace.  And if this wounded deputy has strayed from Your path or does not know you, may he or any other person have an opportunity to come to know You, Jesus, as their Savior and Lord.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
