Our Gracious Lord, we are thankful for sparing the life of this Sedgwick County Deputy Sheriff and ask for your healing touch to continue to be upon his physical body.  May you give the doctor’s wisdom to bring complete healing to his entire body and especially restore full sight to his injured eye.  May your grace sustain this deputy in his heart, soul and mind due to his near death encounter.  Lord, may your grace and mercies settle upon the men and women of the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Department as they are coming to grips with nearly losing a friend and colleague.  May you also be with the deputy’s family and uphold them with your love, grace, peace and mercies as they cope with this near tragedy.  Lord, we are so grateful for your protecting hand to have been upon these law enforcement officers.  And, Lord, if there are any officers, deputies or family members who do not have a personal relationship with your Son, may your Holy Spirit draw them to His side and may many come to know Him as their Savior and Lord and receive eternal life in Christ.  May they know when someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun!  This we ask in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
