Our Father in Heaven, we come boldly into Your Presence to lift up three Baxter Springs Police officers and ask for your healing touch to be upon their burn injuries.  As we know these types of injuries can be very serious and debilitating, we ask You to raise up the correct medical specialists to properly diagnose their burn injuries and render the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery.  As we know this near-death experience to these officers will forever be etched into their memory, we ask for Your grace to touch their hearts and minds and prevent them from enduring any short term or long term emotional effects.  O Lord, as we know that every man and woman in law enforcement needs Your grace and your strength to do their jobs daily as they protect and serve, may Your grace, peace, love and comfort touch the men and women of the Baxter Springs Police Department as they come to grips with this senseless attack on their co-workers.  We also seek Your presence and peace to touch the families of these three injured officer and may they sense an amazing peace because of Your loving kindness.  So Lord, may Your peace and comfort touch each injured Baxter Springs officer and may you draw them ever so close to Your Side where they many intimately know Your peace that passes all understanding dwells.  Lord, we also lift up the family of the suspect who died and seek Your everlasting love to surround them.  May you grant the investigators wisdom to gather the facts of this incident and use it as a training aid to many other law enforcement officers.  Finally, Lord, may each injured officer be drawn close to Your Side and if they do now know You, may they invite You into their heart for Your Word says, “Now is the day of salvation”,  In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
