Praying for a wounded St. Louis (MO) Police Officer

Our Father in Heaven, we come into Your Presence, O’ Lord with hearts of praise and gratitude unto You for sparing the life of a St. Louis Police Officer. As the news reports indicate the officer is in stable condition at a local hospital, we ask for Your Healing touch to continue to be upon him and to grant the medical doctors wisdom and insight in order to provide for a full and complete recovery. More importantly, Lord, we ask for Your amazing grace to settle upon the heart and mind of this wounded officer as he must deal with the emotional reality of this life-threatening event. May Your grace and your presence touch this officer’s heart and mind. May Your mercy and grace be with the members of the St. Louis police department as we know it can affect other co-workers as well. May Your peace that passes all understanding especially touch the family of this wounded officer as they rally around their loved one after this near death experience. Lord, may You use this near tragedy to draw the members of the St. Louis Police Department unto Your side to intimately experience the joy provided by Your son. And if this wounded officer or any other co-workers or family members do not know Your love and forgiveness, may Your Holy Spirit cause many to examine their hearts and draw them to the Love of Your Son. Lord, we ask You to provide the investigators with wisdom and insight to be able to locate the suspects and bring them to justice. May Your mercies and Your Presence protect all St. Louis Police officers from all harm and danger. If the suspects try to use their weapons upon any other peacemakers, may you cause them to malfunction or misfire. May You confuse the minds of the suspects and cause them to surrender. Most importantly Lord, as a result of this near death encounter, may You draw many officers and family members to Your side and may many come to receive You as their Savior and Lord. May Your mercies and peace rest upon the many other officers, first responders and medical personnel who aided in saving the life of this wounded warrior. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
