Our Gracious Lord, once again we find ourselves coming to You in prayer for another law enforcement officer injured in an on-duty collision.  We are so thankful that the life of this officer with the Texas Department of Public Safety was spared in this on-duty collision collision.  As the news reports this trooper is in serious condition, may your grace and mercies settle upon him as he is being treated at a local trauma center.  As we come boldly before your Throne of Grace and mercy, we ask You to bring this trooper into Your wonderful Presence. May You continue to give the medical personnel wisdom and insight to properly treat and restore the officer as good as new.  May your grace, peace, mercies and comfort sweetly settle upon the family of this injured trooper as they are at this side.  May they sense Your grace carrying them through this difficult time.  May the power of your Holy Spirit also gently settle upon the men and women of the Texas Department of Public as they are realizing that they, too, nearly lost a friend and comrade.   Lord, may the love of your Son be revealed to the men and women of the Texas Department of Public Safety and sustain them with Your arms of love and grace.  May You use this time to point many to the love of Your Son especially as we near the holiday season.  And for those who do not have a personal relationship with your Son, may you use chaplains and other Christian troopers to share the love of Jesus with them.  May Your Name be glorified through this ordeal and may many be drawn to the Cross of Christ where there is endless mercy and grace.  Once again, may every trooper know that, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, shall rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”  May they know they can cast their burdens upon You for You intimately care for them.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
