Our Father in Heaven, We earnestly come before Your Throne of Grace, Lord, to lift up New York City Police Detective Lisa Bergen who was struck by a car during an investigation tonight.  As she is currently being treated at a hospital, we ask for Your supernatural touch to be upon her and, even now, begin the healing process for her injuries.  May Your grace and mercies protect her mind and entire body from any long term physical and emotional trauma.  May you especially grant the medical doctors wisdom and insight to effectively diagnose and treat her injuries and restore her to complete health.  May your Holy Spirit settle upon her mind and body and may Your amazing grace and peace sustain her.  May Your peace, comfort, mercy and grace especially touch her family as they support her at this difficult time of uncertainty.  And may Your peace that passes all understanding gently settle upon the members of the New York City Police Department and especially her close co-workers who were at this collision scene.  May Your peace gently settle upon their minds and hearts and may they be drawn close to You for comfort.  Lord, grant the investigators wisdom and insight as they investigate this collision.  And if any officer or family members might be struggling emotionally or spiritually at this time, may Your Holy Spirit sweetly settle upon them and draw them ever so close to Your side.  May Your blessings and Your gentle touch continue to be upon Detective Bergen and draw her ever so close to Your heart.  And if she does not know You personally, may she know that whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.  May Your words bring comfort to many as follows, “Let your steadfast love comfort me according to your promise to your servant”, and, “I, I am he who comforts you…”,  this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
