Praying for critically Injured New York State Trooper Joseph J. Gallagher, struck by a vehicle

Our Father in Heaven,  This week has, again, been tough on law enforcement officers across America.  We again come into Your presence in great earnest, Lord, to lift up Trooper Joseph J. Gallagher, struck by a vehicle while on-duty.  Lord, as the news reports indicate he was in critical condition with severe head trauma, we ask You to grant the medical professionals with supernatural wisdom and insight in order to effectively diagnose, treat and heal his injuries and restore him to full health. As we know incidents like this can cause stress not only upon this injured trooper, but upon his co-workers and especially his family, we ask for Your grace, peace, comfort, and mercy to be upon all of them and use this incident to draw many ever so close to Your side.  May Your grace be poured out upon Trooper Joseph J. Gallagher.  As he is likely sedated, may the Presence of Your Holy Spirit and Your healing power continue to touch his body and soul.  And as he is unconscious, may Your Holy Spirit speak to his heart and mind and reveal to him the love of your Son and the everlasting life found only in Him.   And if Trooper Gallagher does not know You personally, may he come to know that You will always be his Hope and Confidence, a Strong Refuge and the Lifter of his soul.  O’ Lord, as we know his family and co-workers are in deep distress at this tragic incident especially so close to Christmas, may Your words of comfort speak to the hearts of many as follows: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isa. 43:2 ; and “Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you”, Ps. 55:22.  Lastly Lord, may Your mercy, grace, comfort, Your Presence and Your peace touch the hearts of the men and women of the New York State Police.  May You grant the investigators insight to piece together the details of this on-duty collision. O’ Lord, may You bring about a miracle and spare the life of this trooper. May You, Lord, use this collision to bring many officers and family members not only close to You, but also close to each other.  May many be drawn unto Your side and be given an opportunity to personally know Your Son and receive him as Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
