Our Merciful Lord, We are thankful to You for sparing the life of Modesto Police Officer Juan Arroyo who was struck by a suspect vehicle during a pursuit.  As the news reports indicate he is in serious condition, we ask You to continue to grant the doctors and entire medical staff wisdom to identity his many injuries and then effectively treat and restore this officer to full health. As this officer is recovering in the hospital, we ask You to pour out Your love, grace, mercy and peace upon his heart and mind and draw him ever so close to Your Side as we know he is in great pain.  May your grace and mercies especially be with Officer Arroyo’s family as they are at his side loving and supporting him at this difficult time.  May your peace that transcends all understanding settle on their hearts and minds as they cope with this near loss.  May you be with the investigators wisdom to gather the facts in this incident.  Finally Lord, May Your grace and comfort extend to the men and women of the Modesto Police Department, the California Highway Patrol officers and entire local law enforcement community and protect them with Your arms of love.  As we know many friends, first responders, paramedics and co-workers of Officer Arroyo are deeply distressed, may they be drawn to you, Lord, the only One who can and will provide them a peace that passes all understanding. May any officer who is distressed know Your word says, “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”  May Your Holy Spirit speak to Officer Arroyo’s heart and soul and may he sense Your Presence carrying him through this difficult time.  May You, Lord, supply all of their needs according to Your Riches and Glory.  Restore Officer Arroyo, O’ Lord, to full health.  Finally, may You use this near-tragedy to draw many unto the love of Your Son and may many come to know You, Lord, in a real and personal way, this we ask in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
