Our Merciful Father, we need You right now! Our hearts are crying out to You in deep earnest and great need as we lift up several law enforcement officers with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department and Colorado Springs Police Department have been wounded—in which one report indicates one has lost his/her life. O’ Lord, we come with deeply broken hearts in great need before Your Throne of Grace to seek Your mercies and grace upon all of these wounded law enforcement officers. May Your Holy Spirit descend upon them as they are being treated by multiple medical personnel. May Your Holy Spirit surround these wounded servants, and may your peace and Your Presence be with them right now. Grant both natural and supernatural wisdom to the doctor’s treating these servants to allow them to identify their wounds and spare their lives. O’ God, as we know this incident has emotionally affected countless law enforcement officers and their families, may Your love, grace, peace, mercy, presence and comfort carry them through these difficult hours. We especially lift up the men and women of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department and Colorado Springs Police Department before Your Throne of Grace. May Your comfort and Your hands of love and grace settle on their hearts and minds right now. May Your words as follow bring comfort to many, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” O’ Lord, as the news reports the situation is static and suspects are no longer a threat, we ask You to grant the investigators wisdom from on-high to gather all of the facts surrounding this incident. And as countless law enforcement officers, paramedics, fire-fighters and other first responders have been emotionally and spiritually challenged, we ask You to pour out Your grace and mercy on them right now. May those in need remember to cast their cares on You for You intimately care for them. O’ Lord, law enforcement officers in Colorado need a touch of the master’s hand right now. May they be encouraged to know they can come boldly before You any time and may they know Your word says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” O Lord spare the lives of your servants, in the name of our King of Kings and Lord of Lord, Jesus Christ, Amen.
