Praying for a wounded Detroit (MI) Police Officer

February 11, 2018
8:50 PM pst

Our Father in Heaven, we come boldly before Your Throne of Grace to lift up a wounded Detroit Police Officer. As the news reports the officer was shot in the leg, we are so thankful that the officer. As this officer is being transported at a hospital, we ask You to grant the medical staff wisdom to accurately diagnose those wound(s) and then apply the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery. We especially seek Your Amazing Grace and peace to touch the family of this officer as they are just being notified of his injuries and are likely just driving to the hospital to be with their loved one. O’ Lord, pour out Your grace upon this officer and the family. Sustain them with Your peace that passes all understanding. Lord, we are so thankful to You that You Spared the life of this officer. Most importantly, Lord, as the suspect is currently barricaded, may You grant the investigators with supernatural wisdom and insight to be able to bring this situation to a safe closure. And if this suspect might try to harm any other law enforcement officers, may You cause this suspects weapon(s) to malfunction. May You cause this suspects mind to be confused and may he be unable to sleep or rest and remain fatigued and unable to clearly think until he surrenders. Lord, pout out Your grace upon the men and women of the Detroit Police Department as we know this attack on one of their colleagues can and will affect them emotionally, physically and spiritually. We especially ask you to surround every officer and any allied law enforcement officers with the presence of YOUR angels to keep them safe from all harm and danger. As this near-death encounter can affect many, may they know Your Word says, “Come near to God and he will come near to you.” So Lord, may every Detroit officer draw near to You. Surround every Detroit officer with Your angels and protect them from all harm and danger. Again, thank You Lord, for sparing the life of your servant. And as this wounded officer is being treated and reflects on his near loss of life, may this officer know that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. If this officer does not know You, may he know that. “Now is the day of salvation”. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
