Praying for a wounded U.S. Marshal shot in the Kevlar vest
February 26, 2018
11:45 AM pst

Our Father in Heaven, we come into Your Presence, O’ Lord with hearts of praise and gratitude unto You for sparing the life of a U.S. Marshal. As the news reports the agent was shot in the chest and was saved because of his Kevlar vest, we know there will still be some pain and emotional trauma that this agent must deal with. So, Lord, we ask for Your continued healing touch to be upon him and ask you to provide for a full and complete recovery. More importantly, Lord, we ask for Your amazing grace to settle upon the heart and mind of this wounded agent as he must deal with the emotional reality of this life-threatening event. May Your grace and your presence touch this agent’s heart and mind. May Your mercy and grace be with the members of the U.S. Marshal’s Service and allied police agencies involved in this incident as we know it can affect many others as well. May Your peace that passes all understanding especially touch the family of this wounded agent as they rally around their loved one from this near death experience. Lord, may You use this near tragedy to draw the members of the U.S. Marshal’s Service and many other allied police agencies untoYour side to intimately experience the joy provided by Your son. And if this wounded agent or any other co-workers or family members do not know Your love and forgiveness, may Your Holy Spirit cause many to examine their hearts and draw them to the Love of Your Son. Lord, we ask You to provide the investigators with wisdom and insight to piece together facts of this shooting in which the suspect is still barricaded. Grant them wisdom to bring this to a safe closure. May You cause the suspects weapons to malfunction and may You cause him to be guilt ridden and unable to think until he surrenders. May You continue to draw many officers and family members to Your side and may many come to know and recieve You as their Savior and Lord. May Your mercies and peace rest upon the many other first responders and medical personnel who aided in saving the life of this wounded warrior. May Your words as follows come alive in the hearts of many law enforcement officers, “Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. (Ps. 144:1-2) This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
