Praying for the Marin County
(CA) Sheriff’s Department in the on-duty fatality of Deputy Ryan Zirkle

Our Father of Mercy, we come with broken hearts before Your throne of Grace to
lift up the men and women of the Marin County Sheriff’s Department as they mourn
the loss of Deputy Ryan Zirkle from an on-duty traffic collision. As they are
mourning ever so greatly, may your arms of comfort and hands of mercy be upon
each of them to carry them through this difficult time of loss. May your grace,
love, peace, mercy and kindness especially settle upon the family of Deputy
Zirkle as they endure this tragic loss. May every deputy, co-worker, friend and
family member know that they can place their trust in you during this difficult
time and You will carry them through this time of loss. May those greatly
mourning know that even when they pass through “deep waters”, may they know You
will be with them. And when they experience fiery trials like this, may they
know you will be with them every step of the way for Your word says that the
Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted. So Lord, may
your grace continue to made known to those hurting ever so greatly. May your
mighty arms of love sustain the entire Marin County Sheriff’s Department
especially in the coming days as they must now begin to prepare their final
farewell. And Lord, as we know all things work together for good, to those who
love You and are called according to Your purpose, may many be drawn to You for
comfort and may many have an opportunity to know that true peace and comfort can
only be found in Your Son. May You raise up chaplains and Godly officers to
share the love of Your Son and may many have an opportunity to come into a
first-time personal relationship with Him. This we ask in the precious name of
Jesus Christ, Amen.
