Our Merciful Father, the law enforcement community in America joins with the law enforcement community in France as they mourn the tragic loss of Lieutenant-Colonel Arnaud Beltrame who sacrificially gave his life to save others from a terrorist attack. O’ Lord, we, therefore, come boldly before your Throne of Grace to seek Your amazing grace to touch the men and women across the law enforcement community in France. May Your love, grace, mercy, peace, comfort and Presence touch their hearts and minds as they reel from this horrific loss of life. We especially lift up the family of Lieutenant-Colonel Arnaud Beltrame into Your loving Arms as we know they are in deep sorrow and distress at this tragic loss of a loved one. As several citizens lost their lives, too, may Your loving comfot touch their families with Your mercy and peace that passes all understanding. May You grant the investigators wisdom to investigate this heinous act of murder and bring any others to face justice. May Your grace settle upon the entire country of France and draw them unto the love of Your Son in whom there is forgiveness of sin and everlasting life for Your Word says, ““I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Most importantly Lord, may the men and women of law enforcement intimately know that Lieutenant-Colonel Beltrame truly exemplifies Your word which says, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends”, or in this case complete strangers. We are so thankful that the lives of hostages were spared. May You awaken the men and women of France at the inherent dangers that the terrorists are causing to them across their continent. May You fill every citizen with the power of your Holy Spirit and draw countless men and women unto the Cross of Christ in whom there is strength, power, grace, love and forgiveness. And as the law enforcement community prepares are final farewell for Lieutenant-Colonel Beltrame, may many be drawn unto the love of Your Son, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
