Our Merciful Lord, it is with deeps hearts of thanks and gratitude that we come before your Throne of Grace to thank You for sparing the lives of these two Austin Police Officers. As both officers were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, we seek Your mercies and grace upon them and ask You to grant the medical staff wisdom to be able to treat and fully restore these officers to full health. And as their families were likely at their side at the hospital, may they each deeply know Your love, grace, peace, mercy, presence and comfort carrying them through this near loss of life. May they know Your word says, to, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” May You fill these officers with your Holy Spirit and draw them unto Your side. We also lift up the SWAT officers who had to confront the suspect and were forced to take his life. May Your mercies rest upon these team members and may they know they are servants of the Most High protecting the people of Austin. So Lord, in the coming days and weeks, may You protect the hearts and minds of these Austin officers from enduring any long term emotional effects brought on by these traumatic incidents. May they be drawn unto You to seek Your amazing grace in their lives, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
