Our Merciful Lord, we come earnestly into Your Presence to lift up three injured law enforcement officers from an on-duty collision. As the news reports the injuries are severe but not life-threatening, we seek Your healing touch to be upon these peacemakers as they are being treated at a local hospital.  May You raise up the correct medical specialists for each respective deputy who will be able to identify their injuries and apply the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery.  As a number of other deputies, medics and first responders had to witness this traumatic incident, we seek Your amazing grace to touch their hearts and minds and carry them through this traumatic ordeal.  We want to lift up the family members of these three injured peace officers as they are likely just arriving at the hospital.  May Your grace and comfort be poured out upon them as they cope with the near loss of their loved ones.  O Lord, we ask You to settle the sweet presence of Your Holy Spirit upon the hearts and minds of these three injured servants.  May the each intimately experience our love, grace, mercy, presence and comfort at all times.  Most of all may Your words as follows dwell richly in the heart of many, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  And Lord, as this near-death experience has deeply affected many co-workers and friends, may Your sweet Holy Spirit settle upon their hearts as follows, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”  So Lord, may Your grace touch the many men and women of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and draw them ever so close to each other and unto Your Side.  May Your healing touch continue to restore these peacemakers back to full health.  And if any deputy does not know the love of Your Son, may You raise up chaplains and other deputies to share the love of Your Son and allow many to receive Him as Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
