Our Father in Heaven, it is with deep hearts of thanks and gratitude that we come before our Throne of Grace to thank You for sparing the lives of these two Allegheny County Police officers who appear to have been ambushed. As one officer was shot in his Kevlar Vest, we know he will be in pain for a while. We, therefore, seek Your amazing grace and comfort to touch his entire body and restore him to full health. May You guide the medical doctors to continue to treat both officers and bring about a full recovery. As both officers endured this near-death encounter, may Your love, grace, mercy, presence and comfort fill their hearts and minds and prevent them from enduring any short-term or long-term emotional trauma. And as their family members are at their sides, may they, too, sense Your sweet Presence and grace upon their hearts and minds. We also want to lift up the men and women of the Allegheny County Police before Your Throne of Grace. As this apparent ambush attempt will likely affect many officers, may You surround every law enforcement officer with Your Angels and protect them from any attacks upon their lives. Grant the investigators wisdom to locate the suspects who tried to murder Your Allegheny peacemakers. May You prevent these suspects from ambushing any more officers. And should they try to harm Your servants, may You cause their weapons to misfire or even recoil upon them. May these suspect(s) be located and brought to justice. Finally, Lord, may You be a Rock, Fortress and Refuge to every Pennsylvania law enforcement officer at all times, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
