Our Merciful Lord, once again, it is Your amazing grace we see in action as You continue to protect Your peacemakers across America. Thank you for answering this following prayer, O’ Lord that was made from the depths of our hearts for all of Your Peacemakers across America: “Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge. I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” As the news reports indicate Statesville Police Officer Tyler Horn was ambushed and shot in his vest, we know it could have been much more serious had it not been because of Your amazing grace. Lord, we, therefore, lift up this Officer Horn and his partner and ask You to pour out Your love and grace on their hearts and minds as comfort them both as they comes to grips with this near-death encounter. May Your love grace, mercy, comfort and unending love settle upon Officer Horn’s heart and mind and draw him ever so close to Your side. May you especially be with his family as they come to grips with this near-tragedy on this Father’s Day week-end. Most importantly, Lord, we ask You to pour out an extra measure of Your grace upon the men and women of the Statesville Police Department as they, too, come to grips with this attempted murder upon one of their colleagues. As the suspect is on the run, grant the investigators wisdom to locate this suspect and take him into custody. And if this suspect or any copycats attempt to harm any other officers, may You cause their weapons to malfunction or misfire. May You cause them to be confused and be captured. May You continue to fill the investigators with supernatural wisdom as they piece together the details of this near-death encounter. Lastly, Lord, may Your angels encamp around every Statesville Police Officer and keep them safe from all harm and danger. May You draw this Officer Horn and his partner ever so close to Your side and if they does not know You, may up raise up chaplains or other Godly officers to share the Love of Your Son with them and may they know that, “Now is the day of salvation.” May Your protecting hand continue to be upon every law enforcement officer across America.
