Our Merciful Lord, we come boldly before Your Throne of Grace to lift up a seriously injured Lauderdale County (MS) Sheriff’s Deputy into Your Arms of love. As the news reports indicate his condition is serious, we seek Your Presence and healing power to descend upon this deputy who was intentionally struck by a 12 year old girl in a vehicle. May You grant the doctors and entire medical staff supernatural wisdom and discernment to be able to accurately diagnose his injuries and apply the correct medical treatment. May Your Holy Spirit surround this injured deputy as he is being treated. May Your Holy Spirit indwell his heart and mind and draw him ever so close to Your Heart. And if he does not know You, may you raise up Godly deputies and chaplains to share Your amazing love and compassion to this deputy. May Your love, grace, peace, wisdom and comfort especially settle upon this deputy as they rally at his side loving and supporting their loved one through this difficult time. May he and his family intimately know Your peace that passes all understanding and that it is You who are at their side. Grant the family members a calm spirit as they wait upon the Lord. May they remember that Your word says to cast all their cares on You for You care for them. And as we know there are many other Lauderdale County deputies and co-workers rallying around their injured comrade and his family, may Your Arms of love and compassion touch their hearts and minds and may You bring them comfort as a Father loves his son. So Lord, touch this injured deputy in a supernatural way and may You heal him in a way to bring glory to Your Name. May You use this near-death encounter to cause many deputies and others to examine their hearts. And if anyone has strayed from Your Love, may You draw them ever so close to You. May many know your word says, “…yet to as many received Him, to those who believe in His Name [Jesus], He gave the right to become children of God.” So Lord, draw many unto Your Son, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
