Our Merciful Lord, We come boldly into Thy Presence, O’ Lord, to bring a seriously injured Harris County (TX) Sheriff’s deputy constable before Your Throne of Grace who was involved in an on-duty collision. As the news reports indicate he is in serious condition, we ask You to continue to grant the doctors and entire medical staff supernatural wisdom to effectively identify his injuries, apply the correct treatment and restore him to full health. And as he will likely be in the hospital for an extended period of time, we ask You to pour out Your grace and peace upon his heart and mind and draw him ever so close to Your Side. May your grace and mercies especially be with his family and may your peace that transcends all understanding settle on their hearts and minds. May you be with the investigators and grant them wisdom and supernatural insight as they piece together the facts surrounding this incident. As there were a number of other law enforcement officers who witnessed this incident and the aftermath, may every law enforcement officer come to experience Your Presence, mercy, comfort and grace as You carry them through this difficult time. Finally, may Your grace and comfort extend to the men and women of the Harris County Sheriff's Department and entire local law enforcement community and protect them with Your arms of love as You carry them through this difficult time of uncertainty. May many deputies and colleagues of this injured officer be drawn to you, Lord, the only One who can and will provide them a peace that passes all understanding. May Your Words bring comfort to many: “I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.”1 “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies.” May You use this near-tragedy to draw many unto the love of Your Son and may many come to know You, Lord, in a real and personal way, this we ask in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
