O’ Lord, for the third time this week, another pair of law enforcement officers have been shot in the line of duty. It is You who we need right now, O’ Lord, to touch these two wounded Prince George's County Police Officers. As the news reports their wounds are not life-threatening, may You place every necessary medical device and medical specialist in their paths and may You fill them with Your Holy Spirit to quickly and accurately treat their wounds. O’ Lord, we seek Your amazing grace, peace, love and comfort to descend upon the men and women of the Prince George's County Police Department as they cope with this attack on two of their colleagues. May Your mercies 3especially abound O’ God upon the families of these wounded officers as they go to the hospital to be with their loved ones. As the news reports of their conditions are limited, we know You are a powerful and loving God and therefore seek Your healing hand to be upon these officers. May You reach inside their bodies and prevent any damage. May You give the doctors supernatural wisdom and insight to be able to assess their wounds and apply the correct treatment. Lord, Your word says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” So Lord, in the midst of this storm, may Your amazing peace be made real in the hearts of many. May You raise up Godly officers and others to be a beacon of hope and a representative of Your Son. May You use this to cause many to fall to their knees to seek Your love and intervention. May many officers and family members be drawn unto Your side. Continue to touch every officer and may You grant the investigators wisdom to piece together the details of this horrific incident. And if any suspects are still being sought, may You cause them to be quickly caught. May You prevent any further harm to anyone else. O’ Lord, grant peace and grace to many.
