Our Most Merciful and Gracious Father, we come boldly before Your Throne of Grace to lift up a seriously wounded San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy who shot on-duty. As the news report the deputy has already undergone surgery, it is only You to whom we seek Your amazing grace and mercy to descend upon this deputy. O’ Lord, as we seek Your supernatural intervention upon Your wounded servant, we ask You to fill every medical doctor with wisdom to use their education and experience to apply the utmost care for this peacemaker. By Your mercies and grace, may they be able to treat and restore this servant to full health. As we know this deputy’s family is at this side, may Your love, grace, peace, mercy and kindness to settle upon all of the family members and draw them ever so close to Your Side. May they each sense Your Sweet presence with them right now upholding them with Your grace and arms of love. And as this deputy is likely sedated, may Your Holy Spirit settle upon the heart and mind of this deputy and sense Your grace carrying him through this difficult time. And as the men and women of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department are rallying around their wounded colleague, we know there is a deep emptiness that only You can fill as they cope with this heinous on-duty attack upon one of their own. As this incident is still fluid, grant the investigators wisdom and insight to take the suspects into custody without further harm to anyone. O’ Lord, may Your words dwell richly in the hearts of family and the men and women of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department as follows: “Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall. But you, O God, will bring down the wicked into the pit of corruption; bloodthirsty and deceitful men will not live out half their days. But as for me, I trust in you.” So Lord, continue to supernaturally protect e very peacemaker across America. Finally Lord, may every law enforcement officer know Your word says, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. O’ Lord, may Your peace that passes all understanding be made real on the hearts of many, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
